Stephen Johnson was moved by an inspiring vision to create the first Sacred Path
retreat for men in 1987. After conducting several powerful retreats and workshops
he founded the Men's Center of
LosAngeles and
Sacred Path Productions in 1989. The production company has presented numerous
events for men, women and young
people throughout the past two decades.
The Sacred Path men's retreats have featured a vast array
of topics including: Blending The Rhythms of Life; Living Your Ordinary
Life in an Extraordinary Way;
The Faces and Phases of Love; Forgiveness...The Heart of Compassion; Fathers & Sons;
Mothers & Sons; King, Warrior, Lover, Magician; Journey Toward Spiritual
Enlightenment and A Window to the Soul with honored guest Robert Bly.
Sacred Path Productions in association with Millennium Oaks
Institute has produced two Call To Adventure rites of passage event for boys
and men. Call to Adventure
was conceived as a weekend initiatory retreat to support boys on their journey
into conscious manhood. A group of 15 mentors and 15 boys convened for three
days of testing their limits and building character through challenging themselves
to be their personal best. Trust building exercises, a ropes course and a
Native American Sweat Lodge were among the elements that comprised an intensive
opportunity
for the participants to experience their authentic selves in an intimately
vulnerable atmosphere.
The mission of Sacred Path Productions is simply to create
events that bring good people together and bring out the best in them. Our
belief is that in
so doing we enhance the quality of their personal lives, their relationships
and
our community.
