Having been awarded Masters and Doctoral Fellowships, Stephen earned
his advanced degrees from the School of Education within The University
of Southern California (Ph.D. in 1974) and taught in the graduate
school Counseling Psychology Department until 1978. Currently on sabtacal,
he has been on the teaching staff of the Clinical Psychology Department
at Ryokan College in Los Angeles since 1988. He holds two counseling
credentials and a national certification in Rehabilitation as well
as a state license in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy granted in
1972. Additionally, he has clinical membership in a number of professional
organizations. He is one of the founding directors of The Center for
Holistic Psychology in Beverly Hills since 1974. For nearly thirty
years, he has been in private practice as a psychotherapist, consultant
and educator. He was a co-founder and director of The Los Angeles
Men's Leadership Guild and was a convener on the North American Confederation
of Men's Councils. He founded the Men's
Center of Los Angeles and Sacred Path Productions in 1989. Dr.
Johnson has written a number of published articles
on a variety of topics including men's issues, gender dynamics and
support of our youth. He has lectured in numerous venues including
local and national conference settings, schools, universities and
other educational institutions, the Skirball Cultural Center and auditoriums
before audiences numbering up to 2,000. A frequent guest on radio
and television, he has been interviewed on every major network including
CNN. He has conducted workshops and retreats for men and women for
over twenty five years. His semi-annual Sacred Path Retreat for men
has just celebrated its twelfth year. Dr. Johnson resides with his
wife of twenty two years and their three children in Woodland Hills,
California.

Timothy "Whispering
Eagle"
Timothy "Whispering Eagle" has extensively studied Native American
teachings and has been initiated through Amazonian Shamanic ceremonies
and rituals. He has participated a a co-leader in Sacred Path's
men's retreats for several years and has dedicated his life to sharing
his wisdom, passion, and compassion with others.

Ray Bunch
Ray Bunch is an experienced leader of workshops throughout the United
States and Canada, and founder of the Wide Sky Men's Council. In
addition to being involved with Thomas Gordon's Effectiveness Training
courses since 1970, Ray's work also reflects the influence of Werner
Erhart, Ken Keyes, Jr., Robert Bly, and John Bradshaw. He presents
his material with humorous candor, sharing with open honesty and
vital integrity. Residing in Bellflower, California, Ray has been
married to the same woman for thirty eight years (proof of his great
sense of humor), and is the father of two fine sons and grandfather
of two of the smartest, most advanced, delightful little girls in
the world — and, finally, the smartest, most advanced, manly
little boy in the world.

Matthew Burke,
CPA
Matthew Burke is a Certified Poetic Author and storyteller who loves
to weave poetry into the tapestry of stories. He is a graduate of
UC Berkeley and makes his living in the world as a financial advisor
and consultant to entrepreneurs and entertainers.

David "Strong
Bear"
David "Strong Bear"'s path of storytelling was born in the bosom
of the Wide Sky Men's Council. He uses stories as a reach-out to
connect to our ancestors. He feels that stories contain within them
the hope, aspiration, and trepidation of the human soul.

Christopher
Pellani
Christopher Pellani has played drums for over 30 years, performed
internationally with various bands and has released two CDs. He
has a unique talent for creating a sense of community through blending
individual self expression. He has discovered the dynamic rhythms
of the drum circle to be a powerful medium for healing people.

Dan Franklin, LMFT
Dan is Stephen's associate and has assisted him in handling the
operational logistics of the production of the men's retreats, workshops
and seminars. He has a private practice working out of the Beverly
Hills and Woodland Hills offices. Dan's mild manner and caring nature
allow for a seemless transition from the material to the spiritual
unfoldment of a success event.

Chris Rudy
Chris Rudy, through his Profound Sound Production Studio, has audio
taped our recent retreats commemorating the stories, music and significant
information. Capturing the essence of the retreat while safe-guarding
the men's privacy is an art. Men enjoy listening to these tapes
again and again so that they can relive the inspirational and personal
moments that they experienced. For those who couldn't personally
attend, it's a way to feel that you were present.

Wisdom Council
There are several other men who give generously of their time and
energy to the Sacred Path. They are Alf Ackerman, Walter Atkinson,
Les Brown, Tim Cooke, Phil Dichter, Hector Escarcega,
Bruce Figoten, Bob Fimiani, David Green, Phil Gross,
Al Marrewa, Clayton Norcross, Stephen Reynolds, , Stephen
Zelenka Without these men and others who have assisted
along the way, the Sacred Path events would not have evolved.
